This is by far the best soundhole pickup I've ever heard. I was amazed at the clarity and richness it was able to pick up. The person who posted they had trouble fitting it in the guitar must have a weird-shaped guitar, cause it fits perfectly in my Martin D-28 and My takamine and my taylor. In fact, it sounds better than the onboard systems on the takamine and the taylor, and it is close to the l.r. baggs i have in the martin. Definitely worth the money.

I installed one of these into an Aria STD parlour type guitar with a solid cedar top. I was greatly impressed with the clarity and balance of this pickup. Excellent string articulation across all 6 strings, and very good volume for the output. I liked it so much that I installed the pickup semi-permanently using an end pin jack. Really beautiful and true sound.
I have not noticed any excessive hum or interference with this pickup. I usually play though a Fender Frontman 25 watt amp, clean with a touch of reverb. It sounds great.
HINT: use some clear tape to fix the cord to your guitar so you won't be tugging on it where the cord joins the pickup. This yanking can cause the pickup cord to break internally where it joins the pickup, and is a very common cause of problems. Of course, installing an end pin jack will soilve this problem completely.
