Obviously how good a skillet is for you depends a fair amount on your personal preferences and cooking skill. In my case, I'm a fairly novice cook, with most of my experience being in baking. Without getting too much into it, I have to mention I dislike nonstick coatings for their associated health concerns. I also hate having to be gentle with my cookware (not being able to use metal utensils on nonstick pans).

So for me, this pan is perfect. It is wonderfully sturdy, with quality construction. I expect it will outlast me. I also really like how it's not too heavy, how it seems to heat fast and evenly, and how it so far has been easy to clean. Compared to my old 'nonstick pan', it gets hotter, it is easier to use (no utensil restriction), and food doesn't stick any more or less (which is to say a small amount).

I can't claim this is the perfect pan for everybody, but it certainly works wonders for me!

Those of you using, or thinking of switching to, an induction cooktop, should be aware that this (and the rest of the Chef's Classic line) is *not* induction compatible. Amazon should list this with the product information, but they do not. I made the mistake of thinking that since it was stainless steel it would be OK - not so.
